Information we collect

• Account data: email address and display name, used to create your account and authenticate you.
• Your content: shopping lists, list items, recipes and categories you create, plus sharing relationships with users you choose to share with.
• AI inputs: text, voice recordings and images you submit to the AI assistant features (dictating a list, scanning a recipe, etc.).

How we use your data

• To provide core functionality: storing and syncing lists and recipes across devices and with people you share them with.
• To power AI features. Text, audio and images you submit are sent to Google's Gemini API for processing (transcription, parsing, translation). These inputs are processed to return a result and are not used by us to build advertising profiles.
• To understand how the app is used and improve it. Firebase Analytics (Google) collects anonymized usage events — e.g. creating a list, saving a recipe, generating a meal plan — plus basic device/app information. This is not linked to your name or email.
• To let you sign in with Google, if you choose. We receive your name, email address and profile photo from Google to create or link your account.
• To find and fix bugs. Sentry (error monitoring) receives crash reports and technical error details — e.g. device type, app version, and the failing code path — when something goes wrong.

Third-party services

• Google Gemini API — processes AI inputs.
• Google AdMob — may display ads and process device identifiers.
• Google Firebase Analytics — collects anonymized app usage and device data to help us understand engagement.
• Google Sign-In — used only if you choose to sign in with Google; shares your name, email and profile photo with us for authentication.
• Sentry — receives crash reports and error details to help us diagnose and fix bugs.

Data retention & deletion

Data is retained while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account inside the app. Deletion is immediate and irreversible (account, lists, recipes, auth tokens).

Security

Production API connections use HTTPS. Authentication uses expiring tokens, and content is access-controlled so only you and users you share with can see it.

Children

MultiShop is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
